SCMI- UCC Unit, Barapani observed the UDPS 2013 on 24th February in the college chapel. The worship was led by Mr Takeng Paro, followed by Praise and worship from the SCMI UCC Unit Executive members. Mr Lamgoulal Gangte (secretary SCMI UCC unit) gave a greeting message and the service was opened by singing song of praises ‘Make me a channel of your peace’ followed by bible reading and prayer from Ms Lalhlutawmi . Ms Esther, Leacturer (senior Friends) SCMI UCC unit gave a short reflection on the theme ’God of Life, Lead us to Justice and Peace’ as ‘a Christian our responsibility toward the society that we are the Children of God that strived for justice and peace in the way Jesus Christ has shown us.’
The worship was followed by Mass prayer for ‘the people of the world struggling for Justice and peace.’ Mr.R.Lalchhanhima and friends sang a special song and an offertory was collected and the service was concluded by singing SCM solidarity song and prayer from Mr. Dr. E. D. Karunakaran (Vice Principal UCC and Senior Advisor SCMI UCC Unit).
