Brief report on Inaugural function of SCM Dhemaji Town unit.

      On the 26 August at about 10:00am formal inaugural programme of Dhemaji Town SCM Unit was held at Dhemaji Town Baptist Church, Pastor. Naren Pegu lead the service and Mr. Shalom L Ralsun has a sharing  and give a brief about the history,work and mission of SCM in India and Northeast among students ,youth and community to the congregation of Dhimaji Town Baptist Church. The Holy Spirit is with us and the congregation also expressed their heartfelt gratitude toward the SCMI for coming to Dhemaji Town and established the Unit.

     In the afternoon at about 12:30pm the Installation service was conducted at the J S Synod English School, Bengenagarah Patrichuk. Pastor Naren pegu chair the service followed by Bible reading and Prayer. Welcome speech from Mr. Chabin Pegu (secretary DT SCM Unit) followed by presentation of gift to the Programme secretary and a short Speech form the Unit President Mr. Ano Doley. Mr. Philomus who was working as a missionary and a former Mentor for Jowai Town Unit assist the programme secreatary in introducing the new office Bearer of the Dhemaji Town SCM Unit followed by installation of the entire Office bearer for the year 2012-2013 by the Mr.Shalom L Ralsun (Programme secretary SCM NEI). After a prayer for the unit newly appointed executive members and the people of Dhemaji form the programme secretary the installation service was concluded with aBenediction from the Senior Advisor. Pstr. Naren Pegu followed by Light refreshment.

The SCMI-JU conducted the Mid-summer Creative Nite at Eastern Theological College

The SCMI-JU conducted the Mid-summer Creative Nite at Eastern Theological College, Frederick and Mary S. Downs Auditorium on 25^th September, 2012 under the theme – “Witnessing Christ”.as one of the main events where different talents and creativity are displayed to praise and glory the chief designer and creator God Himself.

The grand function comprises of different funtimes, creativity and completion as the main event.

The competition are ;

       I.            Choreography

    II.            Bible quiz

 III.            Group song

 IV.            One minute talent challenge

These competitions are judged by 11 senior members and competed among the five different groups viz., the Worship Committee, the Art and Culture Committee, the Study Committee, the Evangelistic Committee and the Social Action Committee.
